A lightly toned new style tetradrachm

ATTICA. Athens. Circa 165-42 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 29 mm, 16.71 g, 12 h), Charinautes, Aristeas, and Nika-, magistrates, 112/11 BC. Head of Athena Parthenos to right, wearing triple-crested Attic helmet adorned with Pegasos and long tendril on the bowl, and with the foreparts of four horses above the visor. Rev. A-ΘE / XAPI/NAY/THΣ / NI/KA - APIΣ/TEAΣ Owl standing slightly to right on amphora, head facing; to right, Demeter Phosphoros standing facing, holding torch in each hand; on amphora, A; in exergue, ΣΦ. HGC 4,1602. Thompson 687b-c. Lightly toned. Graffiti on the obverse, otherwise, good very fine.
